Prayer For Land For Peace Talks

Prayer Alert from Lyn Shlomit in Israel

“Also, I shall ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them and they shall dwell in their place and shall be moved no more, neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning”  I Chr. 17:9
Dear Intercessors for Israel:
Secretary of State John Kerry announced this week that Israel and Palestine have agreed to resume peace talks, next Tuesday in Washington D.C.   Kerry has made six peacemaking trips to the Middle-East region in four months, pressuring both sides to agree to a two state solution with definable borders.  In a breakthrough Israel has agreed as “good will” gesture to release 103 Islamic terrorists. These prisoners are the worst of the worst and have “blood” on their hands.  In other words, they have either plotted terror attacks or carried them out, killing many Israelis in the process.  Prime Minister Netanyahu once said that he would never release these terrorists, but Israeli President Perez has used his statesmanship to get their release.  The PA is also pressing for the right for an international airport. The PA now wants it to be located in Ramallah, which if built will further shrink Israel’s limited airspace.
The Palestinians, with international backing, have said that state must have borders approximating the territories’ boundaries before Israel captured them in the 1967 Middle East War – a demand hard to reconcile with Israel’s insistence on keeping many settlements under any eventual peace accord.  Yet“these discussions about the 1967 borders are really nothing more than fiction. In 1967 the Palestinians had no territories at all, and so they didn’t have any borders either. The Gaza Strip belonged to Egyptand the West Bank to Jordan. Now they are demanding territories which were taken from them in 1949 by their brothers.” (Noah Klieger, www.ynetnews.com )
